Library Facility
Overview:
ITM University, Raipur Library caters to the teaching, learning and research needs of the academic community and its resources are consulted by scholars from all over the ITM group of institutions. At present, the library holds total collections over 17,631 books and 70 National and International print periodicals. Apart from the online Journals, Books provided by DELNET, ProQuest, Manupatra, BCL etc. and the library has purchased license to access more than 5000 online Science, Technology, Hotel Management, Architecture, Law research journals and over 5000 e-books available to support research activity and CD versions also available for the users.
Of late, the ITM University, Raipur Library has been modernized to provide computerized services to academic community at large. The Library is automated with integrated library software package and modernized with latest barcode-based automation system that facilitates Acquisition, Classification, Cataloguing, Circulation, Serial Control, User Registration, Transaction History, OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue), Shelve Management, Report, Support system. This technology/software offers fastest, easiest, most efficient way to track, locate and manage library materials. The basic aim of the library is to position itself as one of the leading libraries in India. The library also aims to provide the academic community with access to rich and relevant information resources to support their research, teaching and learning activities.

E-LIBRARY RULES
1. Identity Card/Library Borrower’s Card is mandatory for using E- Library facility.2. The use of the E-Library Facility is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
3. Maximum use of E-Library Facility to students is 1 hour per day and in case of huge requirement of e-resources, contact senior librarian for consideration and justify your need.
4. Silence shall always be observed. Any kind of group discussion and violating rules of the E- Library will not be tolerated and receiving of phone calls strictly prohibited.
5. Chewing of gums and consumption of food/drinking inside the E-Library are not allowed and there will be heavy penalty for violating the rules.
6. Recreational activities like playing games, audio/video streaming, online chatting and accessing social networking sites are prohibited.
7. Downloading, installing and running of software other than those already installed on the computer stations are not allowed.
8. Downloading and accessing/opening of unwanted sites and materials are not allowed.
9. Illegal/Unlawful activities such as hacking, deleting of files, changing/tweaking of system configurations/passwords resulting to damage of systems and networks are prohibited.
10. Users may not tamper with any equipment inside the facility, specially the computer units. In case of hardware/software problems, ask assistance from the library staff on duty.
11. The E-Library staff on duty has the right to request the user to leave the premises if he/she is found to be violating any of these rules.
12. Please co-operate with E-Library Staff.

LIBRARY
Rules and Regulations:
1. The library users are required to carry their Library Membership Card and University Identity Card and
each user will be issued normally two library borrower’s card.
2. The library users should enter his/her name, course, semester, time-in and time-out in the register kept
at the entrance and avoid proxy/duplicate entry.
3. Maximum two numbers of books will be issued to each student for a period of 7 days and after due date
there will be Rs.10/- late fine per day.
4. Every user is advised to clear their library dues on or before the end of each semester and renew their
library membership.
5. The library membership cards are non-transferable.
6. In case of loss of library borrower’s card, the duplicate library borrower’s card may be issued on
payment of Rs.50/- for each card.
7. The library users are required to keep their personal belongings (bags, umbrellas, personal books, etc)
at the property counter at their own risk and personal belongings are not allowed into the library premises
under any circumstances.
8. Silence shall be strictly observed in the library. Library users are advised to avoid loudly group
discussion, laughing, shouting and other activities which are violating the library decorum and creating a
disturbing environment in the library.
9. Consumption of food/smoking/sleeping/rearranging of reading tables/chairs is not allowed in the library
premises.
10. The library users are required to check transaction/circulation details before leaving the circulation
counter and insist to return library borrower’s card in case of returning of books, library staff will not
be held responsible for circulation dispute (if any).
11. Every users are required to kept their mobiles in silent/vibrate mode and receiving of phone calls in
library premises is strictly prohibited.
12. Every user is advised not to use mobile/laptop/earphones etc in the library premises and may be allowed
only for study purpose for limited time period under supervision of library professionals or with due
consent of librarian.
13. The library staff members are authorized to check the outgoing materials of the library premises and
users are requested to cooperate them.
14. Every user is responsible for the resources issued from the library in their account and in case of any
damage/lost/striking/underlining/tearing etc., he/she shall replace the book (latest edition) or will pay
the double cost of the book. The person must pay the late fine plus the double cost of the book plus
processing charges at the time of clearance from the library.
15. Reference resources of the library may not be issued generally except with the written permission of the
Sr. Librarian.
16. The books may be renewed if the same are not in demand or are not reserved by other users. The renewal
will be done generally on the physical presence of the books.
17. Library late fine will not be considered under any circumstances.
18. Do not shelve books yourself after use. Leave them on the tables to be shelved by the library staff.
19. Install and uninstall of any software in e-library/digital library is strictly prohibited and ask to
library professionals to assist you.
20. The library premises are under CCTV surveillance and users are requested to obey the rules and
regulations of library strictly.
21. In case of any grievance/complaint, Please write it in the complaint register of library.
